Jolla serves as senior pastor of The “Exciting” West End Baptist Church of San Antonio, Texas.  Prior to this assignment, he served as the senior pastor of the St. John Missionary Baptist Church, Greenville, Texas for fifteen years. Dr. Jolla is a native of Weyanoke, Louisiana. His undergraduate work was done in Louisiana at Southern University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he received the Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.

In 1990, he accepted the call to ministry under the leadership of Dr. Barry A. Jackson at the Munger Avenue Baptist Church, Dallas, Texas and Dr. C. L. Pastor Jolla continues to be a vessel used by God as he is blessed to serve in various capacities on the national, state, and local affiliations.  In addition to teaching pastors and lay persons in the North Texas area, Dr. Jolla is the Treasurer for the National Missionary Baptist Convention of America;  a national instructor and writer for the National Baptist Sunday School and Baptist Training Union (R. H. Boyd Publishing, Nashville, TN.  Dr. Jolla is secretary of the S. A. Pleasant Institute of the Missionary General Baptist Convention of Texas and one of the vice president of the MBGCT State Congress of Christian Workers. He is also one of the writers in a collection of sermons published, resulting from his studies at the Georgetown College of Oxford, England.

His commitment to training others, providing pastoral care, and service to others comes quite natural for Pastor Jolla.  His untiring and loving efforts in the Greenville community are noteworthy as he is the first African American to receive the key to the city; and the first Pastor to receive the NACWC Darcus Club’s Humanitarian Award among many other awards for his humanitarian efforts.

For the last thirty years he has been the owner of J Le Beautique, Men's Fine Clothing boutique.  His commitment to serving God is best described in the words stated by Jesus Christ as He taught His disciples and the multitude in the Sermon on the Mount "But seek first his kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well (Matthew 6:33, TNIV)."  He continues to seek God’s will for His life.

On May 20, 1989, the Lord blessed in a magnificent way, as he was united in Holy Matrimony to the dynamic Sandra Reese Jolla, a native of Montgomery, Alabama.  The Lord has blessed this Holy Union with the birth of two beautiful daughters, Brasha, who resides in Dallas, Texas and Brianna, who resides in San Antonio, Texas.
